Attorneys on our M&A Practice Group regularly represent clients in domestic M&A transactions, as well as act as local counsel in U.S. and international M&A transactions.

The firm’s work in this area involves the representation of M&A participants in virtually all capacities, including purchasers, sellers, lenders, and financial advisors in a number of M&A transactions including mergers, stock and asset purchases and sales, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, joint ventures and buy-outs, among others. The M&A Practice Group utilizes the experience of other members of the firm specialized in other areas such as government contracts, tax, antitrust, ERISA, intellectual property, environmental law, real estate, and labor and employment to provide a full array of services for clients involved in M&A transactions.

Our clients in this area include real estate firms, oil companies, banks and bank holding companies, insurance companies, telecommunications and media companies, service and leasing companies, and construction companies. Recent M&A transactions in which we have been involved include the acquisition of two portfolios of shopping centers in Puerto Rico with an aggregate purchase price of over half a billion dollars, the acquisition of around 100 gas stations in Puerto Rico, the acquisition of a Puerto Rico financial institution, and the acquisition of various hotels in Puerto Rico.
