We also represented various companies in stock and asset acquisitions, including management buy-outs, in all the phases of the process, structure, negotiations, drafting, and the request for the approval by the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance.
From a litigation standpoint, extensive experience in insurance related litigation such as defense for claims against group life and health policies, and litigation of antitrust and regulatory issues. Our litigation experience includes local and federal court cases as well as administrative claim litigation before various state agencies, including the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration, the Office of the Patients’ Advocate, the Department of Health and the Commissioner of Insurance.
After the passage of Hurricane María through Puerto Rico in 2017, O’Neill & Borges has been representing clients in connection with first-party property insurance disputes.
