Cristopher Santiago-Contreras

Cristopher Santiago-Contreras is an associate in the Labor and Employment Department.  He joined O’Neill & Borges in 2022.

Cristopher’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in History from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. He completed his undergraduate studies Magna Cum Laude in 2017.

In 2018, Cristopher pursued a Juris Doctor degree in the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, Law School and completed his studies Magna Cum Laude in 2021.   Cristopher served as a Teacher Assistant to Associate Dean of Students Lin Collazo Carro. Cristopher completed a Comparative Law course at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

During the 2019 fall semester, Cristopher became a writer for the Vol. LIV of the Interamerican University Law Review.  In 2020, he became an Associate Director of the UIPR Law Review.  As Associate Director, he contributed in drafting, editing and publishing of Vol. LV of the UIPR Law Review.

Prior to joining O’Neill & Borges, Cristopher worked with another law firm.  His practice included counseling in diverse topics, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage and hour laws, retaliation, sexual harassment, contracts, and employment related torts.

Cristopher also worked with the Solicitor General of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice.  He drafted multiple appellative briefs in criminal cases and prepared several ethics complaint reports for the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.
