Antonio Collazo-Bennazar is a member in the Corporate Department. He joined O’Neill & Borges in 2009. Antonio concentrates his practice on corporate law with a focus on environmental, energy, land use and regulatory matters.
Antonio performs due diligence and transactional work for a wide array of industrial and commercial clientele including but not limited to: pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, renewable energy projects, oil & gas companies, manufacturers, and waste management enterprises. He also represents clients before local and federal agencies with jurisdiction over environmental, energy and land use matters such as regulatory compliance, enforcement actions, as well as permit drafting and negotiations.
He also has significant experience in legal matters related to fuel products storage and distribution, retail operations, as well as negotiating and drafting franchise, lease, supply and access agreements among others. In 2011, he was involved in the establishment of business operations in Puerto Rico of a major mid-and-downstream oil company.
Prior to joining the firm, Antonio worked as a judicial clerk in the Central Investigative Panel of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. As a law student, he was member of the Board of Directors of the Inter American University Law Review.
