Our Tax practice group represents corporate clients in all aspects of Puerto Rico taxation, including income, sales tax, property, excise, municipal taxes, and tax credits. We assist in tax planning upon establishing operations in Puerto Rico, as well as in connection with particular transactions that may ensue after operations have commenced such as reorganizations, liquidations and various other types of transactions. We represent clients in tax audits, and also assist them in obtaining rulings from, and negotiating closing agreements with the Puerto Rico Treasury Department. Members of our Tax practice group have participated in the drafting of various tax statutes.
