Administrative Agency Proceedings

We have significant and varied experience in administrative agency proceedings. Currently, a significant number of major issues are adjudicated at the administrative level in government agencies. These may deal with the approval of tariff rates; the opposition to fines, assessments, or penalties; the defense of consumer and construction claims; and the issuance or revocation of licenses and permits, among many others.

In the course of our administrative practice, we regularly appear before the Public Service Commission, the Office of Permits Management (OGPE), the Planning Board, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, the Environmental Quality Board, the Department of Health, the Department of Tourism, the Treasury Department, the Aqueducts and Sewer Authority, the Trademark Office of the Department of State, and in countless municipal agencies, and administrative bid boards.

Our practice further includes the judicial review of said administrative proceedings before the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals and the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.
