Edgardo Nieves Quiles

Edgardo Nieves is a member in the Corporate Department. He has been with O’Neill & Borges since 1997. Between 1995 and 1997, Edgardo worked as a legislative affairs’ advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico.

Edgardo’s practice is concentrated in commercial lending, secured transactions, workouts and restructuring and real estate. He represents both local and U.S. – based financial institutions. He has also represented borrowers in workouts, restructurings and discounted pay-off transactions.

Edgardo’s practice is also concentrated in legislative and regulatory affairs. He represents private and governmental clients in the drafting of legislation and amendments to pending legislation. He also assists clients in the evaluation and monitoring of proposed and pending legislation,
